The 7th Annual Cyber Security Summit is coming to Minneapolis this fall. The event which brings together representatives from business, government, academia, and the security community, will be hosted Oct. 23-25 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

The theme for this year’s Summit is “Meet the Threat / Beat the Threat.” Day 1, October 24, ("Meet the Threat") will focus on today's threat landscape. Day 2, October 25, ("Beat the Threat") will focus on security strategies that are working. The Summit will feature a number of keynotes and panels on the topic, as well as four special half-day forums centered on healthcare and medical device security; cyber investment; DevOps; and the needs of small and medium-sized businesses.

Three of the half-day sessions will take place on October 23, prior to the kickoff of the main Summit. These sessions are:

  • The NEW “Future-Proofing Medical Device Security” session will focus on the areas where medical device makers and healthcare delivery organizations must work together. The goal of the event is to focus on security thought leadership and a strategic view on the medical device industry.
  • The NEW DevSecOps Session, presented by Veracode, is for companies looking to gain a better grasp on DevOps and what it is. The session will highlight how DevOps can transform your business at all levels, from development to operations, to security and beyond.
  • The second annual Investment Town Hall, which will focus on the changing threat landscape and how it impacts cybersecurity start-ups, the changing public market for established appliance and software vendors, and the future of the space through the lenses of internal development or acquisition.

All three sessions are available as optional add-ons or come included as part of a VIP All-Access Pass to the Summit. A fourth session which takes place on Oct. 24 from 1:30 - 5 p.m., will focus on Cyber Security for Small and Mid-Size Businesses
